RTÉ Staff Sleep Out for Focus Ireland

 Congratulations to those who slept out in RTÉ  in aid of Focus Ireland,  as part of its Shine a Light campaign and thanks to everyone for the fundraising efforts and donations.

Dee Forbes ( RTÉ Director General) was with the RTÉ Staff on the sleep out..  and colleague Stacey Gallagher Byrne who organised the event...

For those who still wish to  donate, you can give cash donations via the official fund-raising buckets throughout the Donnybrook campus,  or donate online through the Team RTÉ fundraising page here.

Baxter Storey, RTÉ’s catering partner in Donnybrook provided staff who participated in the sleepout with complimentary tea and biscuits . Enterprise Cars, our vehicle partner, also kindly agreed to provide RTÉ staff with tea, coffee, soup and snacks  and  joined  Staff for the Sleepout.

Also RTÉ’s  Night  Shelter arrangement continues;   Surplus sandwiches etc. (within shelf life) are taken to the Night Shelter each evening for the hungry and homeless in a Closed Loop Project between RTÉ, Baxter Storey and Lynk Taxis.  This successful arrangement has now been in place for two years, providing a much-needed socio-economic resource and preventing food waste.
